Newly released routemap on plans to ease shielding and more...

A brief update from Natalie, the Policy and Engagement Manager for Genetic Alliance UK in Scotland:

  • New routemap published by the Scottish Government outlines plans to ease shielding guidance. The plans state that from Friday 10 July, those who are shielding can enjoy some more freedoms such as meeting outdoors, travelling further than five miles, using the toilet of those in the homes you visit and forming an extended household.
  • Also thought that if infection levels stay low, shielding may be paused from 1 August.
  • Work is underway looking at the future of the NHS Near Me video consultation program.
  • Views sought from anyone who has used NHS Near Me Video Conferencing – survey.
